Dog Dumped At Railway Station Finds New Owner

A dog left at a railway station with only a suitcase of his belongings has found
a new owner.
Kai had been left at Ayr railway station in Scotland on 2 January, tied to a
railing with a bag containing a toy, pillow, food and bowl.
It is understood his owner had planned to sell him to someone over the
internet but these plans had fallen through.
After his story spread around the world, however, he had no shortage of
options for a new home, with people from as far afield as New York and the
Philippines offering to take him in.
Now the Scottish SPCA , which rescued Kai, has chosen Ian Russell from
hundreds of others to be the dog's new friend.
Mr Russell, 52, from Newton Mearns in East Renfrewshire, said getting Kai was
"like winning the lottery".
The a self-employed hydraulic engineer said: "It feels like fate that I've been
able to rehome Kai and I'm not usually a believer in things like that. I'm over
the moon and very shocked that I was chosen out of everyone who wanted
him."
